Glow Plug Connectors and Oil Dip Tube
I am about to OHM my glow-plugs since I am sure a few are bad, I have the specs to look for, but do I have to test the at the valve-cover connector? (tight and hard to get in there) or can I test them where they connect someplace else? (I am aware to make sure I test them coming FROM the valve-cover)
Also, my Alldata says I have to remove the dipstick tube to get the valve-cover off, is this really necessary? The nut is pretty rusty at the oil-pan, so I would prefer not to have to remove it. Thanks!

it is not necessary to take the oil dipstick tube off of the pan. However, it bolts in up top on a valve cover bolt with an extra nut on top .. that is the part you must remove
and as far as i know, the only way to ohm glow plugs is to test the pins on the valve cover. yes, they are hard to get to, but definetly not impossible.
