There is no difference between a 250 and a 350 except payload so I don't see why it would matter which one they would use. The Ford has better low end gearing than Dodge which is why this was possible. Romping on it would make the Ford probably lose but a straight slow deliberate application of the gas pedal is why the Ford won.

Right. the 305/610 cummins against the 350/650 PSD.
If anything, the Cummins would be the on ewith more low end power as well, PSD doesn't reach peak torque till around 2000RPM, Cummins peaks around 1800 RPM. The ford probably weighs around 1000 lbs more then the Dodge anyways.
Pulling is all about driver skill, tire traction, and weight

2.) Not neccessarily, with pulls like that once you start to spin your tires its over if you don't let off the throttle because when the tires spin, the other guy can just pull you around like nothing.
