see there is a reason dodge and chevy owners try pitting an F250 with their 3500 series, because they know that if it is a fair battle F350 vs 3500HD or F250 vs 2500HD the Ford will come out on top

No, they just try and find a guy who's never done it before like that dodge driver, first guy to spin his tires and just sit there on the throttle will be the loser no matter what truck he is driving.

i see what you mean but when you put a SRW F250 against a 3500HD DRW, i think the traction wins

If the guy in the 250 knows how to do it and the dually guy just romps on it the 250 could take em though!

There is no difference between a 250 and a 350 except payload so I don't see why it would matter which one they would use. The Ford has better low end gearing than Dodge which is why this was possible. Romping on it would make the Ford probably lose but a straight slow deliberate application of the gas pedal is why the Ford won.

Yeah they do it all the time around here. Don't get me wrong it is fun watching. Most every time somebody breaks something around here. Most trucks are lifted down here so it just adds to the stress on the truck. Most of the time it isn't who pulls who but who makes it through it.

Right. the 305/610 cummins against the 350/650 PSD.

If anything, the Cummins would be the on ewith more low end power as well, PSD doesn't reach peak torque till around 2000RPM, Cummins peaks around 1800 RPM. The ford probably weighs around 1000 lbs more then the Dodge anyways.

Pulling is all about driver skill, tire traction, and weight

1.) Yes they both are
2.) Not neccessarily, with pulls like that once you start to spin your tires its over if you don't let off the throttle because when the tires spin, the other guy can just pull you around like nothing.

You need to do another search on your numbers, last I heard both are 350/650 with dodge having it detuned in the 4500 and up trucks, also dodge makes peak torque at 1400 rpm.
