i took my DP tuner out and i was curious if i can sell it? knowing that i had to use the PCM numbers off my own PCM, would it work on someone elses 7.3 if i were to sell it to them? thanks in advance
as long as they are the same pcm number, but why would you sell it?
i knew i should of written the PCM # down before putting it back in!.. is there another way of finding out the PCM#? i took it out to sell because im selling the truck and putting everything back to stock. No problems whats so ever on the DP.. i loved it!
Call Jody, he will be able to tell you what is compatible. He guessed mine over the phone based on year. THe for sure way is to pull it again. 10 minutes max including battery disconnect.
If you are getting another 7.3, then I'd keep it and have it reflashed to the new PCM that you get.
nothing wrong with mine at all.. my 7.3 is in perfect condition, but due to some debt that needs to be paid and i really dont need the truck, im going to sell it. Wish i could keep her but it has to go
has to do with build dates, and whether it was designed for california emmisions, and it mightve been something with canada trucks, i asked him when i ordered mine
I got sick of reading so sorry for repeating if I am. All you have to do is get it reflashed. Just like if you put a big oil kit or new turbo on. It costs some money...but the chip isnt junk.
Ed - I tried to PM you on the tuner, but it wouldnt let me. Post two more times
