I'd say you need to have a talk with your dealer. They should give you another one to drive while they work on yours. Our local dealer has always been good for that.
Yep - lumpy and lop-sided. The **** that sets the lumbar support won't turn as easily as the **** in my brother's truck. It worked properly one or two times, then it got all in a bind, it feels like. **** is very hard to turn, and the lump in the seatback gives me the gangster lean.
My local dealership as long as you bought the truck from them will try to put you in a loaner truck, but if its not avaible they give you either a focus or freestyle. As for time frame I would say a half a day diagnosis and then a couple days to get the part in and a day to install it.
My dealer give me a loaner vehicle? That's a laugh.
I still have my '89 F-150, so I'll prolly drop the '07 off next Monday and let them have at it. I don't like letting others work on my vehicles. Never have. No good can come of it, usually, but if that's what it takes to get the seat fixed...
Thanks for the info. I was looking for a quick fix I could do myself, but what's the worst that could happen if I leave it at the dealer?
And then there's the tick tick tick coming from my engine.... But that's for another thread.
