a tool question and some weather related boasting
First off, the tool question;
What do you guys do with your grease guns? (I mean besides the obvious...lol) How do you store it to prevent it from weeping all over the place? If you turn your back on the darn thing the next thing you know you have a huge oily slick covered with the nastiest form of garage dust bunnies ever.
Second, about the weather;
There was a posting by the California contingent from a car show last weekend, from the pics it was a glorious sunny day, people in "T" shirts, etc. Well, just so you guys know, you aren't the only ones blessed with good weather. I spent today out on the lake playing on my Jet Ski. OK, ok, so the water temp was only 53 degrees, so what. The outside temp was 71, no breeze, and the sun was shining. I had the whole lake to myself (well, there was one fishing boat out there) I think I might have even got sunburnt a bit.
Granted, I didn't want to flip the thing over (and I didn't) but it was a great day!!
Why is it that the nasty weather manages to come through on weekends? I propose that we all get together and get the powers the be to shift the calendar 3 days forward. Maybe then we would have great weather on the weekends and the crappy weather during the work week.

Bobby,
You are right about the grease guns. A real PITA! I put mine in a plastic dishpan, so it at least keeps the mess off the floor or shelf.
The weather here in central Texas is great also. 72' today and supposed to be 80' tomorrow. Sat is supposed to be about the same with a chance of rain late in the day. I hope to enjoy the day by going to a swap meet.

Bobby, I thought that only my G gun leaked due to age, It was my dad's from the 50's/ Anyway, I dug a 2 foot deep hole on the north end end of my house in the shade. It is fillled with an 18" x 22" with a 2 dollar styrofoam cooler (w/cover ) in it and then a piece of plywood/brick over it. I keep the G-gun and my cans of grease and hand cleaner in it. Mama dared me to put it in the freezer again, but I scare easily.

I wrap a rag around mine and place it on a shelf beside spare jugs of oil, brake fluid etc. I like the pringle chip idea with the bottom taken out so I can pull the plunger out like Ax suggests.
Temperature right now is +3F with a windchill of -17F. Forcast tonight is -16F with a windchill of -35F. The 30 foot walk from the house to the garage is significantly faster this time of year.
