I have a 72 F100 had a 240 it sounds like crap. not the v8 sound that we would all like to have. a straight six is a damn good motor. i drove mine several times from coast to coast.
this week i am dropping a 351 windsor in my old truck which will sound much better. your 300 will sound like a mad bumble bee

No bumblebees here, unless they have a lumpy idle, will deafen you, and have seen 7000 rpm...

Well i got my exhaust done. I have the stock manifold and cat then a y pipe to split it then 2.5 duals out the back at an angle and some nice lookin tips. it sounds good but i think i am going to knock the cat off. how will this change the sound. What are some of the best mods for this motor. I was thinking a 390 carb. headers and maybe a cam. What would be the best cam to use. It is an 1982
