2007 F250 Lariat Leather bucket seats

Question is I have aquired a center console out of a 2002 expedition, I'm pretty sure I can mod it to fit my truck,'It's alot nicer than the one I have now' But my arm rest are making for a tight fit. How or can the arm rest be removed, I won't need them because the consoles padded top can now be used as a armrest. I even threw around the idea of moving driver and passenger seat out about an inch each, this would allow enough room for the armrest to stay. Is moving the seats out possiable? There is enough room between the seat and the door, what would be involved in moving them.....drilling and taping new threads to screw them back down? Thanks in advance.

they can be removed easily. just remove the bottom (or back) half of the vinyl cover. it's literally just wrapped around the arm rest. roll it up enough to expose the bolt. i forget the size, but it is a good size torx bit you'll need. that's it. the only problem you'll have is there will be the bolt hole and an alignment pin for the arm rest exposed. won't look good at all. mounting them on the door side is really not an option, at least without doing some serious mods to the seat as you'll need the sam alignment pin and threaded hole for the bolt.

Try swapping the seat backs from one seat to the other.

Hum, thats an idea, Thanks. Mastercaster I ment sliding each seat drviver and passenger, out, towards the doors and inch or so and bolting them down there, spreading them out a little, There is enough room between seats and the doors to allow this. Is It possiable, has anyone ever tried this?

again, i think that would be a lot of work. not to mention you'd be moving the seat off center from the steering wheel. may feel a bit odd even with only moving them as little as 1 inch.

the seat back swap is really a good idea. Let us know what you end up doing and if it works out.

You cant move the seats if you aren't able to use the same seat frame/floor bolt holes without losing the safety design of the boltdown system in a crash.

Ummmm....that won't work.

On my 2007, the seat belts are integral in the seat back. If you switch sides with the backs the shoulder belts will be reversed.

Is that because you have an extended cab? Are the crew cabs like that as well?

On my '05 crew cab the seat belts are in the pillar, not the seats. If he is talking about a crew cab, the seat belts are not integral to the seats if they didn't change anything from '05 to '07.

Yep their not in the seats, I looked around a bit and there seems to be a couple bolts and a swivle with a recoil on the seats, seems like a "do-able" job. super busy with work but will start messing with it pretty soon. How do I upload photos on this site or do I have to have them hosted somewhere else first?
