40/20/40 Center Console

Ive got a 1993 F250 with bucket seats and the plastic center console. I found two 40/20/40 center console seats for sale here and i was wanting to buy one to swap with the center console in my truck. Im just wondering if i would be able to install the center console with my two bucket seats?

This seat is the one i need for my truck. It is missing a few parts so i found this second one that i was going to also buy and get the missing parts from.

This is the second seat that i want to buy to get the missing parts off of.

As you can see the gray seat is missing the door from the consol on top. and the tan seat has those 4 brackets sticking out on the bottom that are obviously for mounting....and the gray seat doesnt have those. so can anybody tell me if i would be able to install that center console with my 2 bucket seats and does anybody have pictures of how the seat mounts? Thanks

I'd love to get you some pics of mine but it's a little messy as of yet.The way that center console u want will mount has two crossmembers, one front and one rear, that are attached with the seats. You could always use the console but modify it so it bolts up like your old one.(I'm assuming your old one bolted staright to the floor??)If you don't mind a little fab and want some extra sound from your radio you could build an enclosure underneath the console and mount a speaker or two in there. Then you can get it the heigth you want and have it be usable. That'd get around having to tear apart your seats.I'll try and take some pics and I'll drop you a line.Luck

It should work . I dont think seat are spaced different, you will loose the arm rests on your seats . holes !!!. As for mounting I thought they just mounted under or over the other buckets seats. Same bolts, .. But its been years since I owned one with center seat I like the storage console better. Good luck

Oh you may want to post what left of the other seat you buy. Around here that center seat is More $ by itself than the 2 buckets .

if i could get some pics that would be great. im sure it would fit because i dont think they would have spaced the seats differently for the trucks with the plastic center console and the trucks with the 40/20/40 console.

the plastic center console i have right now bolts through the floor. im just wondering how ford bolted the 40/20/40 center seat to the floor. it would be alot easier if i had the seats in front of me but i havnt received them yet.

the guy selling the seat that is the color i need doesnt know what year its from....and the spare seat im buying to get some parts off of is from a 1996. if you look in the picture at the red circles it looks like the seats mount differently. im just wondering if i can get some pictures of peoples trucks with these seats so i can see how they mount.

you remove or loosen your buckets and then console goes in and the bucket seat bolts go through brackets for new Jumper seat. Holding it in. The seat belts mount same.

the way you are describing it sounds like it works for this seat

because it has those mounts sticking out...

but the seat i need doesnt have those. the guy said its the type with "the rectangular tube frame". so im wondering if the seats are mounted differently for differnt years.

OK I get it Sorry I'm slow . One type (One with bracets is for the SC, Crew or Bronco

The type he said about was for the reg cab trucks they have a 1 pc frame under them. At least my 95 did . As for the mounts get bolt spacing I bet same . Or buy and make own base shouldn't be to hard.

so ive got a supercab truck. so the one with the ,ounting tabs sticking out would fit in my truck. i just loosen the buckets and install the center seat.

this is the seat i need for my supercab right?.

if thats the case i will just buy that one since it has all the parts and ill either get some seat covers. or just live with the different color seats for now....
