toyota sludge

http://yotarepair.com/Sludge_Zone.html

here it is in all of its glory. the co. that beat GM for sales. i have how this works. toyota is having a class action law suit and consumer reports still rates them the best due to the fact that it's not a recall or (at the time it was not) and now as we speak in 2007 toyota and its sister lexus are back to where they started. pvc system killing the engine. just putting it out there, as the fact my dad was looking at a tundra and now to say hes not. this is also why every car/truck i have had has a catch can for the pvc/ccv

every one of the makers have there things about them forh had the 60's mustangs with the fuel tank flying into the back seat, the 96-99 f150 xfer case gears and dodge has its rear end and its tranny's chevy has well its a chevy(rear main on 350) fuel system) but call a duck a duck. as stated toyota just said ok we will fix it as a tsb not a recall to keep there ratings up. yeah it took ford till dec 4th 2007 to recall the 7.3 cps. but hey some people live by that engine. bill ford has run ford into the ground and now he stepped away and i would hope for it to get better. but to say toyota build a better truck then any one of the big 3 is just wrong. i don't buy ford cars. thats why they make honda's.(built in marysville ohio) but i have a ford truck. an i know it will last. given time i'm sure the yota will get better but to say after 3-4 years of building a v8 that there the best i don't know about that. leave it at this honda/yota i4
ford chevy dodge v8 always has always will be

There's another recall on the 2007 Tundra 4WD's. Something about the axle locking up. It was on the news this morning but I only caught a bit of the story.

The only sludging Toyota engines as I recall, were the V6 3.0's from the late 1990's, early 2000 model years. After much haggling, Toyota finally agreed to fix them, including those out of warranty. This sludge problem was caused by narrow oil passages in the engine.

This thread should be destroyed. Sludging was a problem on old 2002 and early 6 and 4 cylinder engines.

I don't see any 2008 tundras with 2001 V6 engines. Do you?

This wins most un-informed thread of the year.

Dunno...there is a V6 engine offered along with the two V8's. What it is, I dunno and could care less.

The new Tundra was introduced in February 2007 as a 2007 model, not as a 2008 model.

The 2008 models were just introduced...just as fugly as the 2007's.

Regardless, bashing Toyota is what we do here on FTE!!

Hmm..Looks like a re-enactment picture taken recently. I wonder where someone found one? The early Band Wagons had defective front hubs..the reason most were cut up for firewood.

The only sludge problem was caused by the horse power!

btw: is that you on the left?

A droopy 'ol man worn down by arguing on FTE...

I know the feeling!

At least you made the picture! I too, was getting tired so I just let the bandwagon run me over to put me out of my misery.

Now it's just entertaining....
