I didn't think they used the C4 in F250s. only advantage you have it well frankly you already own it and it's in the truck. other than that it's a little lighter and takes a very small amount less hp to run. down side, harder to rebuild (still not bad but harder than a C6) costs a lot to upgrade to handle what a wore out stock C6 will handle, in heavy pulling applications tends to get really hot faster from my experience, has a couple bands that if not adjusted properly or get out of adjustment will cause shift flaring and other shifting issues.

not as strong as a c6 but still good
c4 has a removable bell housing
c6 bell is part of the trans case
keep a good cooler on it and service properly
and it will serve you well
if it dies then is the time to upgrade
