Crazed, to my knowledge there are only a couple of companies that make suspension lifts for the 2nd generation explorers, and they are pretty pricey.Somewhere around $1500 dollar range. Most folks go with a 3 inch body lift made for a Ranger pick-up.They work very well( I have one on my 98 Mountaineer), with the exception of the bumper re-locate brackets. The front will work with some shimming, but for the rear you will have to make your own. I also raised my torsion bars and gained about an inch and a half in the front. I added an add-a -leaf in the rear spring pack to get it even with the front.

It seems like I remember reading somewhere that the torsion bar crossmember, which needs lowered when you lift an IFS rig, is welded to the frame which is why there are no suspension lift kits advertised for it. The Explorers after '95 have a bolt-on crossmember, making it possible to lower the crossmember when installing a lift kit.

I don't know anything about the body lifts.
