Post Fuse Block Problems

I have a 1989 Ford Bronco with inline six and manual transmission.

I have had problems in the past with my fuse block. I thought my horn had gone bad, and after pulling the fuses and giving them a cleaning and replacing them, it worked again.

A couple days ago, I could not raise my rear window, and I thought the safety disable switch had failed open, but again I pulled fuses and put them back, and now it works.

Since doing that, my stereo is now dead. I tried it again, and got no good effect. Also, I have no diagram showing which fuse goes to what. There are even some slots that are empty, but no markings to show what amperage fuses those slots require.

I am hoping that somebody out there can tell me where I might find a diagram showing which fuse goes to what, and what value to place in each slot. The vehicle was purchased by my brother from the California Department of Forestry, and does not have a user manual. I am also hoping that somebody can recommend a really good method for cleaning the contacts in the block without scratching them up so that they just oxidize faster and worse in the future.

If you have the information I seek, please email me directly at danielc@danielc.com

I look forward to hearing from you. (C:

Fuse Block Problems

Try pulling all the fuses and spraying the entire block real good using a can of electronic parts cleaner, available at most hardware stores or parts places. Don't use electric parts cleaners, thats for motors and such and will melt your plastic parts.
