I've got a questoin for you all.When I hit my brakes in my 66, what would cause the front right park light to come on?Also, how could I make my park lights stay on with my headlights?Thanks in advance.
I'm not sure if it's the right way to go but I've seen them wired like this;
Find the tail light circuit
Find the front parking light wires, disconnect, and splice into the tail light circuit.
There might also be an unused terminal on your headlight switch that you can plug your front parking light circuit into.
As for the brake light issue, it sounds like someone already tried to rewire them and tied into the rear brake/turn signal circuit. When you hold the brakes and turn on the right blinker does it alternate between bright and dim, bright and off, or dim and off?
Try this with the headlights and parking lights off.
I spent everynight for a week trying to rewire the signals after pulling the shift collar off and replacing it. Just couldn't get it right. Pulled it back off and found the sharp edge had sliced a wire. Still took some work to get it right but I finally got them all tracked down and hooked up correctly. Wife got tired of me having her stand behind the truck to see if the brakes and turn signals were working, lol.
