Looking for a 4WD shop near Baton Rouge
Greetings-
I am working in Iraq right now but I want to get a couple of things done to my truck before I get back. Anyone know of a good 4WD shop in the Baton Rouge area? I need to get a winch installed, maybe buy and install a second winch, install lockers, and a few other things. I think I am going to use Light Line of La. over on Cloverleaf but that's only because they are the only shop that I know of.
Any suggestions?

Hey Bigdawgkp-
Could you give me the name of that shop near Abita Springs? I emailed Light Line and their reply did not give me a warm fuzzy feeling. They told me that something was not available for my truck but I know it is, I have the part number for it. They were also pretty high on some prices they gave me.
Thanks,
Dan

I talked to the people at light lane before, and I don't like them to much to tell the truth. To me it seemed like they didn't really know what they were doing on full size trucks. Jeeps and international scouts seemed to be their specialty, and like you said, they're pricey. One of my friends had his truck their for 3 weeks just to install a lift kit(I did several my self in under a week end).
I know for a fact Cajun Off Road in Lafayette is a great place. A little far for your parents, but if your serious about that D60 swap, they're the place to go. They're hourly rate is pretty good, and they know what they are doing(the owner, head mechanic(Brian), has 9 Big Broncos all customized by him, and the work quality of a couple of them I've seen made me drool). I brought my Bronco their for front gears and locker and I dropped it off around 9:00 and picked it up at 9:00 the next morning.
They were actually doing a D60 swap when I picked mine up(looked like they started that day, and they were half way done).
They stay pretty buisy, but get the job done in good time.
