Talking Truck Finally Arrived

I picked up my truck last week.

So far gas mileage is averaging 15Mpg on highway and 13 in town.

I am so happy I ordered the rearview camera. What a blessing when you have to park!!!

Anyone else have kids. The anchoring system for car seats is **** poor. Why doesn't ford have the seat anchors to make life a little easier. Attaching to anchors behind a seat that does not move forward is painful.

What is everyone doing for storage as you cannot put anything under the seats and with the above note achoring system for kids you cannot get access to the limited amount of behind the seat storage.

Add on's:

1) Oil spray-- Rust Block $139.00 (Done)
2) Mud Flaps - 18.00/pair plus installation - $ 110.00 (Done)
3) Extang hard floding cover - $800.00 (Ordered)
4) Overhead DVD and Alpine/Balckbird Nav - $3000.00 (Ordered)

Driving through road construction and the flagman giving me thumbs up and mouthing nice truck.

$PRICELESS

First time owning diesel, will be curious how it starts in cold weather. Heading to HEARST, Ontario on Tuesday. 10 hours North of Toronto, Ontario.

If you have a CC you can take the racks out from under the rear seats. Did it in my 04 and I am pretty sure they are the same on the 08 even though I have not taken them out yet.

Which model truck did you buy ? When did you order it and how long did it take ? I've got an F-450 on order and hoping it will be here before my Cabelas $750 rebate expires on 01/02/08, but thinking that's not likely.

I ordered a F250 Lariat Pueblo Gold, with sunroof and back up camera.

It was ordered August 20th and received November 11.

Mud Flaps

I purchased the Flexible mud flaps for the F250 with white FORD lettering. They cost 18.00 per pair.

I had the rigid ones on my 2500 Avalanche and if you drove over a log they would catch and crack off. I am of course speaking from experience.

Let me know if you need the codes for the mud flaps let me know.

Congrats and best of luck with the new ride.I'm waiting on mine to arrive. I thought I remember reading somewhere here that there is a dealer available accessory for attaching car seats. Might be worth a couple of searches unless someone can post a link or provide more info.
