Ok so im 18 teen and i've been working on little ricers ever since i was 14 teen. But now i need a truck. And Ford does make the best truck at least i think so. What my question is. "What is the best way to lift your truck"
There's body lifts, springs Etc. I want it to look good nothing like a 10 inch lift or something like that. I just want to lift my 1995 XLT ranger. Maybe by 3-4 inch's. And put a little bigger Rims and Rubber. So honstly i know nothing about trucks. Now if you asked me what block is the best honda motor for a swap i would know alot. So yeah im pretty dumb when it comes to trucks.
Sorry guys but any help would be awsome!
Thanks
Matt
you'll find out all you ned to know as soon as someone and a few others post somthing other than mine
just watch out for terms like ricers, and the abbreviated version of japanese (4 letters), and you'll be allset........ one question though, other than the type r engines, what draws you guys to honda engines?
Well what got me into it really was i could buy 91 honda civic that had no rust bought the car for 2000 with 90,000. Then went and bought and K20 motor built by honda. Droped it in the little 91 honda civic hatchback its like geo. Now think of a geo dyno'd at 300HP. My friends old's delt 88 never had a chance. I wasnt a stupid Fast furious kid that went and to autozone a bought a cheap *** big fart can and put it on i did it right. And to be honest what go me out of it and into a truck was all the stupid kids that have to race on the streets. Cops would never give you break. And they were always out to get you because of the dumb kids. Its sucks when other kids ruin it for you. The cops in are city hate import cars now. I also owned a 1987 300ZX Nissan which was turbo. Very nice car. But some old guy smacked into it in a parking alot at 25 mph and the car was wrecked for good. So that my mini story.
ps. There is no such thing as a type R motor. Type R is a Model. For example. Ranger XLT
Acura Intergera Type R--- This car has a B16A Block.
Enigne Blocks made by honda are the following
D-series Civic's/Del Sol 88-99 They Ran a different series of course like G1,G2 ETC
K-Series New Civics 2000+
H-Series Honda Prelude
B-series Acura motors.
These are all the blocks i can remeber off the top of my head.
Well Rang, welcome to the club. I have to say I have never liked sport compacts that you have been into but I am grateful that they have become so popular with the kids. Y’all keep the cops busy so I can actually take my old muscle cars out and have fun again.
You didn’t say if you had a 2wd or a 4wd but there’s a ton of aftermarket support for your truck either way. Look around the internet--Summit, JC Whitney, 4Wheel Parts, etc. When you find something you like do a search in this forum to see if anybody has been running that system. If you can’t find something on it, post a tread, we’ll take a look at it and let you know what we think. You might want to pick up a few 4x4 magazines and check the ads too.
I tell yea be careful because this is how it starts. You’ve been playing around with some little rollers skates and thinking that you now something about power. Now your going to have fun with this truck for a while but eventually you’ll step up to a full size. After you get a taste of V8 torque you’ll never be the same again and before you know it you’ll be cruising around in a big block Torino or a jacked up 1-ton and laughing at yourself for ever playing with those little buzz boxes. Have fun with it, don’t take yourself too seriously, and we’ll be here to help you.

The best way to lift any truck is with a quality suspension lift, like rancho, superlift, trailmaster and so on. Body lifts tend to leve gapping between the body and frame, plus frame and bumpers. Also a suspension lift is functional off/road in ruff terrain.
I compaltly agree with jokerforever I started out with a 94 ranger 2.3L then went to a 94 ranger 4.0L 4x4 then from there I had a 95 Bronco 5.0L and now I have a F250 7.3L PSD and I am also young at only 24. I am scard to see what I get next lol. my favorite truck so far and still is my 94 ranger with a 4.0L but I have a v-8 sitting on an engine stand wating for enough money to get it into the ranger. anywayse back to the question. I have a superlift on the truck and so far It has been good to me.
