Rear axle vent hose missing?

I had a loud whine from the rear axle of my 04 SCREW and had the bearings replaced at the dealership. It has been about a year/12k miles since it was done and I just noticed that the vent hose is missing. I'm not sure if they left it off or if it fell off on its own. Anyway, my question is, do I need to replace the fluid once I put a new hose on? I'm not sure how much if any dirt or water might have gotten in there. Also, where does the hose go up to? I figure it must clip to the frame somewhere.

I found the hose tucked up over the frame, so I reconnected it. Someone must have disconnected it and forgot to reconnect. Do you think I need to change the fluid?

I would make them replace the oil since they left the housing open to dirt and moisture. But either way, change it.

Thanks! It calls for Syn 75W90. Is there any brand you would recommend?

My owners manual says 75W90 synthetic, but looking around on the forums I see everyone is using 75W140. I have an early production 04. Did the specs change after that? I have the 3.55 w/o limited slip. I already went out and bought Mobil 1 75W90 and planned on doing this tomorrow, so any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
