where is it at?
i have a 1988 ford f150 4x4 with a 5.0-liter engine and a 5 spd manual the clutch switch doesn't work. to start it i have to jump it out at the solenoid and that gets annoying. i bought a clutch switch and looked under the dash by the clutch pedal and cannot find it anywhere. someone told me it was on the side next to the throttle pedal. i haven't seen it there yet but it was getting dark and the home was 80 miles away. it is at my fathers' house right now and i am planning on going up there soon. i bought it for driving in the snow but we haven't had more than an inch yet so it hasn't been a priority. i think i got the high idle figured out and i think i got the seat fixed until i put it back in. i only paid 100 dollars for it and so far i have spent that much in parts.

It should be above the accelerator pedal, where the clutch rod goes through the firewall. Usually what happens is the nylon/plastic bushings wear out at the inside linkage, and the switch is not able to be pushed in enough to make contact. Do you have a lot of play in the clutch pedal? Most parts stores keep these bushings in stock.
