Where shuold I mount my CB?

I have a 2000 Expedition Eddie bauer. Any suggestions on where to mount my CB and if I should just use a megnetic small antenna or a larger whip type of antenna. Any help would be appreciated.

Basically, anywhere you can find room. I know there isnt much so it will be a challenge. In my case I used a mag mount because Im not fond of drilling holes, and I mounted the radio sidways on the drivers side console running the cables to the firewall. Problem with that is the limited room to move the seat.

Oh, and for ideal transfer, cut the coax to a length in a 3 foot interval and coil up the spare under the dash. I have found that whips, and Ugly Sticks, provide the best transfer except for the whips bending in the wind thing that can change the wave characteristics. If at all possible find a friend that is a Ham radio operator, or even search online for more information. That would give you more info than I could provide.

I mounted my CB unit in the tray area and have it leaning on top of my coin slots. Its a small Uniden model and fits perfect. I then took the top off the CB unit and mounted a fabricated "L" bracket, slapped some velcro on the slanted part and mounted my XM radio unit on top.
For the antenna, I ran the coax from the dash back to the rear door. When I use the CB, I grab the magnetic mount and attach it to the roof then attach the whip. I have a K40 magnetic mount antenna.
