clutch slip, fuel leak

hey guys. i'm rarely over on this forum but i have a bit of a prob with my dad's 99.5 it has fuel leak dripping in center of truck, at back of engine. any ideas?

and, it has after market clutch (original went 189xxx of towing) and the aftermarket is much jumpier. but, i was wondering if turning it from 60 horse up to 90 with superchip would make this lesser clutch slip with our loads (7000#-23000#)

This may help you out with the fuel leak.

The superchip does nothing for the trans or clutch. It shouldn't matter what setting you are in, the clutch will be the same.

Look in valley for fuel, most likely the fuel bowl drain valve is leaking. Easy fix.

Are these related? I had a big fuel leak once in the valley that washed down the back of the block and made the clutch slip bad. I was able to "burn" the clutch enough on a hill to get it to work good, but the lube had washed away on the throwout bearing and it soon failed.

ok, i taped a paper towel on the end of a cattle prod and stuck it down there and no fuel in valley. i kinda swabbed it back and forth. no prob there.

EDIT: i was talking about would the extra hp cause the clutch to slip. its not slipping, but i'm afraid of slipping it on 90. got any opinions? facts?

OK. What clutch are you running now? You can certainly overpower a clutch, and adding weight to the load will not help.
