Is there a way to jump the codes on a 94 f-150? I just had a check engine light come on and I want ot get this looked at. In my Buick I can short across to terminals on a computer and it read the codes for me. Is there a way to do that on my truck?

I saw a code reader at autozone for 30 bucks, that is what they use I would assume.
Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust, Sunroof, Clear corners w/ Diamond headlights, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds
