I agree with looking further into this. Never heard of a rear main leaking. Look under the turbo, pedestal is prong to leaks. HPOP and fuel drain valve are all places that leaks. Many people confuse this for a rear main leak. If any of these leak it runs down the back of the engine and down the cover plate.

Once again, Welcome to the site. At the risk of sounding like an echo, forget the rear seal for now. Been here for a few years now and have yet to hear of a rear seal go bad. Have however, heard of a lot of folks thinking their seal is gone only to find out it is coming for somewhere on top of the engine. Most all the leaks from the High Pressure Oil system, Turbo pedestal and orings will find it's way down the back of the engine and appear to be a rear seal. Maybe that oil is what does keep our rear seals from ever going out.
If it is a strong steady leak, the look at the HPOP and fittings, if it is just a drop or two after parking it, then probably orings in the turbo. Might be lucky enough to find a loose fitting or plug. Easist way to find is to clean the top of the engine with Simple Green or something like that, rinse with garden hose, run for a little while, get up on top with a light and mirror, and you will find it.
Last note, make sure it is oil and not fuel. Have seen lots of fuel leaks from the fuel drain valve since the ULSD started running in our veins.
