Lift Question

I was under ol blue and noticed a 2" block of material between the rea axel and leaf springs, the front looked the same with a block underneath the springs.

Is this a lifted truck?

I have no expereince in this but was going to do some sort of lift later anyway.

The tires on it say 32x11.50 R15 LT... I think this means a 32" tire 11.5 "wide on a 15" rim, rated for light truck use...am I on the right track?

These tires look 'normal' in the wheel wells and do not rub when turning.

Help is appreciated.

Would help if we know what kind of truck you had. 32" tires will fit on any F250 no problem and most likely an F150 too (but it would be close). These trucks DO have some blocks from the factory, just not very big. I believe my factory blocks are right around 1.50-2 inches.

Sorry I guess I didn't specify, I only have blocks in the rear... How you gonna put blocks on coil suspension?

Blocks in the front can be a bad thing, can cause the axle to try to rotate under during heavy braking and cause the steering linkage to bind.

I would remove them and use the correct springs to achieve the amount of lift you have/want.

Edit: (That would be with leaf spring front ends)

I've seen coil spacers... Not exactly the same thing as a lift block but I suppose the idea is the same...
