lower i beams. tie rod relocator manditory?

I just ordered a set of aim droped I beams. I was reading about tie rod relocators but I never saw what they are meant for or why you need them. Is this something that is required for installing dropped I beams. What porpose do they serve?

Thanks,
MIke

When raising or lowering your truck the tie rods sometimes need to be relocated because the new ride heidth will cause interference. Tie rods don't like to hit the frame or radius arms when you driving.
