Camo paint job?? Anyone done it?

Im deciding to either repaint my truck black, or just go ahead and camo the whole thing. Anyone got any pics of their paint job?

i dunno i like it with the camo bottoms and the black paint. but it would be cool if you could get your whole truck to look like the bottom bit that has camo on it.

Look at my gallery. That is an old picture which the truck wasnt touched up and didnt have clearcoat. The clearcoat makes the colors in my camo paintjob darker and more vibrant. My truck i think had a grey base coat that i am pretty sure about but if you do a black base coat, it will make it look 100 times better. And i will try to update my pictures someday.

Before rockstar Ted Nugent painted that particular Bronco with zebra stripes it was actually camo. The truck was also reskinned then painted with that cool striped look.
I have seen Expys in stripes too.

What about a matte black paint job?
Or a desert tan look?

I like the desert tan idea, I was debating between full camo or flat od green and now the desert tan idea. Hmmm.

Flat green is not cool at all... at least not the one I have... check my gallery. Strata blue (air force blue) would be much nicer, or at least different. Anyway, just my opinion after 20+ years with the truck painted same color

Well the green on your truck is some what lighter than the green I had in mind. Unfortunately the pic will not load right now, otherwise I would show you a bronco painted with the flat od green.

As far as the blue goes...I was in the Air Force and the two blue colors we had for vehicles were glossy. One was a Royal blue (factory Chevy paint I believe, it was on all the S-10's on my base) and the other was a darker Navy Blue. My truck is already a dark blue (fading fast on the hood and roof).

I camo'd my 75crewcab few years ago. I spend to much time in the ruff country I would destroy a good paint job. But i didnt want black hood and bed with green fenders and yellow cab. So i did a krylon camo paint job. Pics in my gallery.
I would like to paint it a desert camo and get it more of a random job instead of a pattern.

Interestingly enough, Rustoleum makes a line of camo paint, and on the spray can is pictured a '76 - '77 (I believe) Ford truck!

Here's a link for product info:

Btoohey44: my mistake then, sorry. Thats surely the reason I've been google-ing my eyes out trying to find pic's of early 70's trucks in the AF to try and match the color... with no result.
The closer I found was this link http://www.garbee.net/~cabell/photos35.htm
It mentions the color there, but it's an older truck and I didn't know wether they kept those colors in the 70's or everything had gone OD.

About the green on my truck, I've found a darker green under the paint, but I know it was not the original either. Anyway, I'm just tired of seeing the truck that color and needs repainting (if you look at the hood, it has a lighter tone of green, it's not paint, it's moss )

PRR,
Actually the OD green sold by rustoleum is an almost identical match to the color of my truck. I use it to touch up scratches and rust poping through.
