I have a '89 F150 with 250,000 miles that I'm going to make into my daily driver when my daughter graduates high school.

I'm either going to have the engine rebuilt or get a remanufactured engine. I'm no mechanic.

I live in the Dallas area. Any suggestions on what to do, where to do it, and what kind of coin am I looking at?

 

Well its truly hard to say how much it will cost first check around many places and get quotes before doing anything see if rebuild or remanufacture is any price difference im guessing!.. there isnt much but hard to say

 

Anybody know anything about City Motor Supply in Dallas?

They will install a remanufactured engine in my truck for $1900 with a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty.

Thoughts?

 

My brother used them before, they're one of the largest around DFW. He just got a short block and installed himself. He didn't have any problems.
