From the pics it looks like skan has the stock size u-joints, whatever they are. For the record I got the same size joints on my truck and they turn 38's. They hold up just fine and my driveshaft angle is pretty steep.

I guess ive been lucky with my driveshafts not vibrating with lift. I only have like 4 iches of lift in rear and 6 inches in front. So far so good. 96onefifty, that looks sweet. Alot of angle out back, wow.

thanx, yeah it vibrates like no other on take off, still trying to find a solution.

I had a NASTY vibration on take-off that I cured by shimming down the center drivershaft support bearing. In your case, seeing as I don't think you have a center support bearing, I'd shim the rear axle and rotate your pinion to point up more at your transfer case. That little single cab with all that lift is giving you a REAL bind at those u-joints.

If you shim the diff and lower the crossmember and trans case about an inch, you won't have ANY trouble at all. I have 8" skyjacker and 2 inch body with this done and i cruise on the highway at 70-75 all day with no vibes for 3 years now, and i just changed my u-joints. Make sure you put a good set of u-joints in with the stock driveshaft and you'll be fine!

I've heard that dropping the crossmember and transfer case is a BAAAAADD idea.

I've had the truck lifted for 3 years now and not a single problem! I made a set of motor mounts so the hole drivetrain is sitting on an angle. Bad ideas sometimes come from people who don't know what there are doing and that's why it's a bad idea. I have my truck to the dunes about 15-20 times a year and i beat it pretty good and still no issues, so i guess it all depends on the truck and equipment!

How about your front driveshaft? Isn't that going to create a real harsh angle at the transfer case? Not to mention you can't shim the pinion angle on a TTB front end...

Dropping the trans crossmember 1 inch will cause the front shaft angle to increase, but it wont be much.
