Alright, this problem just started 100% out of the blue. Happened first about 2 days ago. I got in my truck to leave the house (engine cold, first crank of the day), and I turned the key over, and the engine just turned over. It turned over fast like it should, but didn't hit a single lick for 5 or 6 seconds. Let off, tried again, and it cranked right up like normal.
Then it happened again yesterday. What could cause this? I'm thinking about just going ahead and replacing the fuel filter. Also, could bad gas make this happen? Any other ideas? Again, it doesn't hit a single lick while turning over on the first crank, no matter how long you hold the key, but when you let off and try again, it cranks right up (so far).
With the price of gas a fuel fiter may not hurt anything bui tell me this how does the truck idle when it is started rough, low or eratic the Idle Air Control Motor might be dirty
Check your fuel pressure, At least press the valve first thing before starting and see if
it is holding pressure. If not turn the key on and off a few times and you should hear
the pump come on and go off and now you should have pressure and it should start!!
Run a few bottles of gas line dryer and if there is water sitting on the injectors it'll get
it.
I agree, it sounds like the fuel system is leaking down. A leaky injector, leaky fuel regulator, or a bad check valve in the fuel pump will cause this.

It hasn't been idling worth a ****. It's rough/low/eratic. Where is this motor at, and how do I clean it. Well, I think I know where it is at, but this is my first 5.0. If ya got a pic, that'd be nice.
Also, whenever I go to get in my truck, I'll test if it's holding fuel pressure. I actually have a feeling I got some bad gas, and maybe there is some water in my lines, I don't know though. Thanks for the suggestions, guys.
