I forgot about the two small ones for each light - I was stressing over the 5 LARGE holes!! Thanks for making me worry some more!!

Wild - Please post once you've got this installed. I desperately miss having the console that I had in my 150.... I'm not thrilled about how expensive these are, but if it goes in easy, it just may have to happen. Good luck with the weekend projects

Thanks, I'm actually leaving Thursday to head down to my buddy's ranch for the weekend and we are off elk hunting about an hour drive from there, if all goes well Elk will be done on Friday, then mule deer hunting on Saturday (can't hunt Sunday up here in Sask) so on Sunday I will borrow my buddy's heated shop to do the installs - it's already getting cold up here - barely gets above freezing during the day. Then back to mule deer on holiday Monday. Already got my moose on October 1st!! Thank god my wife knew what she was getting into when she married me or I would be divorced by now!

And yes, the roof does have supports built in that you can screw the console into. The ebay seller (Ol Bird) installed his in his '07 super duty and the pics are clear that the roof supports are there to screw into. To my knowledge, they haven't changed the roof in the Super Duty trucks - the older ones had the console as an option and the newer ones still need a place to install that goofy modular snap in rail overhead system in the '05 and up that you can attach a kleenex holder and rear DVD system to.
The SD Never used the overhead rail system. The overhead rail system is use in the F150 not a SD.

Check out page 10 in the following link - it shows the overhead rail system for the F250/F350 on Lariat models and the modular options for it.

The link definitely shows the overhead console having a rail system in the picture and the text references an 05 F250/350 Lariat, in that accessory catalog. By i can tell you for fact that the F250/350 SD for any year Never had an overhead console with a rail system. That is definitely a mis-print carry-over from the F150 accessory catalog.

Notice page 10 of the F150 accessory catalog
http://www.fordaccessoriesstore.com/.../2006_F150.pdf

That option is also not available in the online version of the catalog, just the archived pdf file of the catalog
www.fordaccessoriesstore.com/fas/b2c/catalog.asp

See page 12 of the 2007 SD accessory catalog and it shows the picture of the overhead console that was installed in all 05-07 Lariat SD without a sunroof. Sunroof version much smaller.

Do the regular cabs have the roof supports built in that the console screws into as well?

Got the overhead console installed - easy to wire up - hardest part was cutting the hole in the headliner!! Great instructions from Ol' Bird. I installed my cab clearance lights while I had the headliner down. My console only has temperature and compass. I put the Recon smoked clearance lights and amber bulbs and I like the looks - the orange bulbs make them look like big LED's. Trucks is dirty - we were out hunting mule deer on Monday after getting skunked on Elk Friday and Saturday.

Well done. Nice, clean install and looks sharp. You can expect a couple of questions when I finally dive into mine. Work sends me to Atlanta this week.

Good luck on the muleys.

I have had no success finding any listings for olbirds products on ebay - or any other complete overhead console kits. Anybody have any other source? Or, like wsu asked, any direct contact info for olbird? does he sell these from a business?

Just type in ol bird in the user search on ebay, or there is an ebay link in one of the posts at the beginning of this thread, which is already closed, but you can scroll down and it will show other items for sell by this seller or something along those lines. That is how i found it the first time. I'm hoping to put my console in this coming week.

I actually just checked and he doesn't have any listings up right now. But keep checking because he has sold quite a few of these things and seems to have a good thing going on. His ebay name is actually ol.bird if you want to search for him.
