Is your Unibody a shortbed or longbed? Mine is a shortbed, and I took it off the frame and put it on a 1984 Mercury Grand Marquis 2 door frame. It fit great!! The wheel base was off 1/2" but since the wheel openings are sloped, I just centered it on the frame and split the difference made it 1/4" on each end. I know alot of guys on here freak out when the topic of frame swaps come up, but this one works great. The only down side is the kick up of the frame in the bed, but mine is a shop truck so I didn't care about that. If you wanted to do a frame graft the same thing applies, you could easily use the front end too.

But I do like the Dakota setup I've seen in the mags lately.

Terry you need some pics of that truck in your gallery. I love the stance and how low it is.

Talk to Steve Szymanski at Industrial Chassis. He has his Dakota IFS in his uni-body truck with the tubular A-arms. He has a Big Block Chevy with Tremec 5-speed. This truck sits low and rides very very smoothly. I speak from experience. Phone: 602-278-6800. And they are usually there on Saturday mornings. Tell him AZAV8 sent you. And remind him he needs to spend more time on this board as well.

I have one of thier kits but not installed yet, I just called them and they are not offering tubular A-arms. I would really like to run something better looking than the stock dakota A-arms. Oh well I'll still be installing it, I haven't heard one neg thing about thier frontend.
