I have this yellow electronic box connected under my dash. I just got this bronco and i do not know what it is. It connects to a sensor located near the drive shaft with a magnet attatched to the driveshaft( like a magneto). I have a picture of it in my gallery. I already posted this request in the bronco area but no identification. Do you know what it is? Thank You,JM

 

i dunno, this is only a guess, but it sounds like an attempt at an electronic speed sensor... early VSS.

where do the wires connect?

id like to see a pic of the sensor and the thing on the dshaft....but i would say fishy has a good guess....

 

I will get a picture of the drive shaft soon. The way the wires are ran you can tell it was added later than factory. I do know that it is labeled Dana Toledo,Ohio. I tried to look up some contact info and ask someone there. That website is a mess to navigate!
