Which intake for 5.4?

What would ya'll consider to be the best intake for a 5.4? Looking for an increase in power (and mpg is possible) but also don't want one that would void warranty or something like that. Is it best to just go with a drop-in filter like K&N or something, or a full CAI?

I just bought the truck last weekend and the stock intake setup looks very restricting.

Thanks guys

In terms of design here are my two favorite intakes for the F150 5.4L:
Outlaw Power (with NeverOil synthetic filter) www.outlawpower.com/productdetail.php?sc=1486
Banks Power (comes with oiled cotton filter) http://store.bankspower.com/Categori...7-ebad60077871

I have the Outlaw Power CAI on my 2001 F150 and I am very happy with it. It gets all of it's air from the fenderwell which is cooler that the hot air under the hood like an open element type.

kinda liking the looks of the Outlaw one, gains seem pretty solid on it also. I didnt see a price listed for in on the website though..??

Also, has anyone heard of the S&B CAI? I was checking that one out last night and seemed like a pretty nice piece also.

New CAI

Installed a new Volant CAI on my 2007, F150, 5.4L last week. Looks great. Easy install. Great sound.
Just put some miles on it and saw a 2.5 increase in mpg. Can't wait to get the dual exhasut to go with it.

when you get that exhaust, that will go from +2.5 to -2.5 due to that great sound.

A lot of people like the Volant CAI...

Our shop carries them here: http://motorhaven.autoanything.com/air-intakes/20A50219A1.aspx

I have the True-Flow intake on my 07 FX2 along with the AirRaid throttle body spacer. I've notice a huge improvement with these mods. Check out the video on the True-Flow website (http://www.trueflow.com/video_1.php)
