I need some help with my I6 240 rebuilt about 4yrs ago. I'm noticing more and more oil along the edge where the head and block meet just above the lifter cover. NOW, today I noticed some neon green(coolant) in with it.
So, I'm assuming that it's leaking out around the head gasket, and I'm concerned about what is to come.
Should I replace the whole gasket? Or can I just tighten the head bolts?
I would just re-do the gasket. On my 300 (with a 240 head),I left the manifolds on the head, and just pulled the whole assy. with a crane. Way easier than disconnecting everything. I would recomend removing the distributor while pulling the head, though.
