Simple question: Converting to Hydraulic roller on a 351M
What is all needed to convert to hydraulic roller on a '78 351M (being stroked to a 400).
- Machine work (two threads drilled into the block to hold down the spider bar)
- OEM 302 Hydraulic Roller Lifters
- Spider Bar hold down bracket
- Spiders to hold lifters in place
- Hydraulic roller camshaft
Is that all that is needed?

if you use the crane retro roller lifters there is no additional machine work. If using comps there are two holes that need to be drilled and tapped in the intake valley- to mount the spider etc...you can use the wishbone retainers or upgrade to fords new plastic retainers...TMI can get you the part number and you would get them from ford...not real expensive..24 bucks or so.
thats it. get with TMI to make sure the 302 lifters work and parts
