Driving around on the 140 Hp Setting from 55mph then slowing down to 25 with the foot off the gas, The idle is very irratic. When it was stock and slowing down like that you would have a moment where you wouldnt hear the engine, and then the trans would shift and then you can hear the strokin again, Whys that? And also going down my road i was still in overdrive and i put pressure on the gas to see the smoke, then i stoped to put it back in the stock setting and i looked down at the guages and my engine light was on, so i shut the truck off and turned it back on and it was gone, Did it see to much boost? I wasnt looking at the guages to notice my boost nor EGT's but i know i wasnt on the gas hard enought to make the EGT's climb fast. Why did it do that? Thanks Guys
If you were on it real hard in the 140 setting, without big oil your stock hpop can't quite keep up, and you'll set the p1211 code (icp too high/low... for what fuel is being called on). That's one thing that might've caused the check engine light to illuminate.
the erratic idle between 900-1000 rpm is normal, its the sequence of not every injector firing, because the transmission is speeding the engine up some, so it cuts out a few injectors to bring the rpm down. Or at least thats my theory.
Yea thats a good theory it makes sense, I think we also got a cam sensor going because ask you might know i was splitting wood and while i was backing out of the woods the truck just stalled, no engine light. It wont start in park and you have to put it in neutral to start it. It did it a couple times to my dad before i hopped into it and it seams to only happen when its rainy or really damp like today. The Really sweet thing that i think is going to be very expensive to fix is, when we load our fourwheeler into the box we just back the truck down in a pretty good size ditch, well my dad was in 4 high, and he desided to show off and we heard a really big BANG! I thought it was the motor but we thought maby the 4x4 wasnt enguaged, well today we went to put it in 4 low and we tried for a couple minutes and it wont go in. So hes got a pretty good size repair order on it rite now. But good news, i finished splitting before it started raining hard! Thanks for your help
