Welcome to Fte Mack7654321.....cool name!
I too am into the big jobs, and have a deal pending on a 56 big job tractor semi.
Job Lots automotive generally has most parts, as I just bought some parts from them, and they are great to deal with. Also contact CHUCK'STRUCKS here on Fte...he also is great to deal with.

Hey Bill glad to see your still on here. I haven't been on here for a lng time. I picked up some viruses from this site, I hope those issues are fixed now. You looking at a 56 locally? John Zanko died last year and he had a 56 semi. Was wondering if that's the one your looking at. I've got a big job 332 with air compressor in my garage. It was in a f750. You still got your tool truck?

While not a big job, my truck does have the "heart" for it.

Hey ZSK how's the performance and mileage of that motor? I see Lincoln valve covers but a big truck fan setup and truck rams horns. I have the 332 and also an unassembled lincoln 368 in my possesion. I was gonna rebuild the 368 and put it in my f350 so I could pull a camper. But I sold the camper and the old 292 is still in the truck. I thought about putting in the 332 the way it is and run it.

It's a '53 Lincoln car motor with a T98 behind it. Truck intake manifold, fan setup, truck bell housing, truck manifolds. Currently it's down with some bent pushrods from sticking valves and gummed up fuel, but it the past it would get about 10-12mpg. It seems to run best at about 45 mph but I'm swapping the carb and distributor in the next couple months. The loadomatic distributor isn't even hooked up for timing advance and the motor runs pretty good as is. I've never pulled anything with the truck but I imagine it would be just fine with 300ftlb of torque.

On a side note, I am looking to get a truck oil pan and pickup. The front sump car pan doesn't have much clearance to the axle and I'd like to lower the truck some.

ZSK I looked at my 332 pan and compared it to my 368 pan. The truck pan looks to be 7 or 8 quarts and it doesn't have really anymore clearance than the car pan. If you can get a truck pan, you might be able to knotch it to add clearance.
Mack the F7 F8 are the Big Jobs. The f7 will have the 279 and the f8 will have the 317 motor. Both motors had 7.2-1 compression. Eight lug rims or dayton rims. My book doesn't say if they had true air brakes. I know i've seen fords that had juice brakes with air brakes going to the trailer.

If that's the case, I may just notch the pan I have then. Unless I stumble across a truck pan for a good deal.

Thanks for the info.

Hey all you BIG JOB guys! I've been robbing information from this forum for quite awhile now, figured I'd join in the fun and sign up! As a new user, I mistakenly started a new thread instead of adding on to this one. Of coarse I called it BIG JOBS RULE! Anyway, I'm looking for where to get a replacement drag link dust cover for an F750. Any suggestions? Mine is destroyed and while she is apart for new king pins, I want to replace it.
