transmission lockout
I have a 1994 F150 4x4 with the E4OD transmission. The transmission goes into lockout at 2nd gear....press the brake and it goes off. Brought it to the dealer and code 452 came up (VSS). Replaced the one in the rear end and checked the wiring for power and all seems fine except the transmission still goes in lockout. Any help would be appreciated.

You can get the codes pulled free at many parts stores. Did the dealer change the sensor? If so, he's responsible for FIXING IT - not just charging you to change parts. 
If not, pull the codes again and clear them when you've written them down. You might have to unhook the battery to get the computer to forget what it learned about the bad sensor and relearn the new one.
