Exclamation The few Big Jobs in FTE

Hey all, we've asked before, but I am gonna check again. How many F-7/700 and larger owners are amongst us. This includes the C's and B's. I know the admin won't give us our own forum, so if you have a Big Job, keep this thread on the front page. We can all give eachother ideas, and info. Especially since, the Big Jobs are nothing like the Little Jobs. Post pics if you can, or make a gallery, and I'll post them for you. What's your Big Job, and what are your plans with it? Does it run, was it a fire truck, or a dump truck? Is it an F, T, B, C series? The Big Job info doesn't really help the F-100 thru F-600 guys, and vice versa. If it's a Big Job, or you have a Big Job, check in here, and let us see it. I know of a few of you guys. C700, BigJob. Who else?

My uncle has a 1949 F7 Big job dump truck sitting next to his barn, he also has a 1949 F6. He said I could have them. I may sound like a broken record to a few here, but I don't have a trailer. I'd have them sitting at my house if I did. Til then...

F6 will be restored, F7 will be ?. But the big flattie would be nice to have. Pics in the future, someday.

Could be some potential there. You got a chain? Go haul them home. Unless of course they are a long ways awy. That might be fun to watch though.

I have one!!

Hi WMJOE

Great post as i have many questions about my BIGJOB!!! My story about my truck was in a thread a few months ago. Search under Chicago Fire Patrol to see my story. I will PM you with my number. The latest update on my truck ... Got rid of my widowmaker rims and bought vintage one piece rims (expensive). Looking for tires right now and not sure what size to get. The standard tires were 39" tall with the 20" rims. I now have 22.5 ... was looking in to low profile tires like 245/70R 22.5 but they are only 35" tall ... too low. Anyone have a good size to recommend? I have 3 rims that are 6 3/4 wide and 3 that are 7 1/2 wide. My brake system is completely apart. I was able to get everything except the front shoes and the 4 rear wheel cylinders. New master cylinder and brake lines, new front wheel cylinders, NOS front & back grease seals. Also need to get the brake booster rebuilt. Thats all for now. Keith

Nice rigs Bill. Keep the Big Jobs coming guys. Maybe the admin will let us sticky this, since the Big Jobs aren't really like the other trucks. Maybe this can be the thread, or maybe they'll let us start a new thread they can sticky that is the first stop for Big Job owners.

this beast is less than a mile from my house, I still need to go pick it up, its pretty much complete (drivetrain) I could probably start it up and drive it home with a little work, (wonder about the brakes though)
