How do you identify model etc ZF fits a 93 f350 w/ IDI 7.3????????

 

The tag should be on the drivers side, close to the shifter for a front to back location and slightly above center for a top to bottom location.

S42 and S47 were the two models offered.
The tag should also have the gear ratios stamped on it as well.

 

So by what you say a gas or diesel are the same??? except for ratios???

 

I think gas and diesel bell housing different.
