How do I know if my truck has...
overload springs? What do they look like?

They should be a spring on the rear that i sshorter than the rest and it doesn't touchh anything on the ends, atleast till it is squatted.

Usually has a u-bolt attatched spacer between the original leafs and the new one.

I think that some the baseline trucks that didnt have any sort of a towing package came without the overload springs. I have a 93 F250 2wd that doesnt have the overload springs and it can not handle nearly as much weight as my 97 that has them.

my loaded late 99' 4x4 does not have over loads. oh and its a 350 also. but that will change when i get the money fo some bags yo.

I believe the overload springs came with the towing package option.
