Code FO171 FO174

Hi ,

I am getting the code FO171 and FO174 fuel to lean. I replaced the
PVC valve and the line running to the intake and yes the old one was
broken, the line that is. Anyway after replacing the PVC and the line,
my engine just shuts off completly when I slow down to make a turn.

Before I changed the line it would jerk as if it was trying to shut down
and sometimes would, but now since replacing the line it just shut down.
It runs while in park and it even runs while in reverse or drive, but when I drive it and slow down it goes dead. I have no idea what it could be. What
is the problem?

Thanks A Lot,
Hair24

Clean or replace the IAC valve.

Reset the PCM by disconnecting the battery while you are doing the work on the IAC valve.

Those are "P" codes, not "F" codes, BTW.

Thanks projectSHO89,

Sorry for the F & P mix up. I was at work while
trying to type it out, didn't want to get caught.

Thanks Again
