To Chip or Not to Chip

Hi, I have a 2008 F250 Lariat with the 6.4 liter engine and at 4500 + miles and I am getting 14.6 miles per gallon. I am thinking of putting a super chip in my truck to increase my fuel efficiency. I checked out the power chips from here and they all say that they do not negate the warranty because when unplugged they resort back to factory settings. I really cannot afford to void my warranty so I have to be very careful here. Is it a good idea to put a chip in? If so should I wait until after my truck has 10000 miles on it and is broken in?

Based on what you said:

"I really cannot afford to void my warranty"

It wouldn't be a good idea.
