Shoulder mounted seat belts into a 75 Highboy

There is more to it then just bolting them up. The late model shoulder belts have a heavy gage bracket that is part of the "B" pillar to bolt the retractor assembly to. It is integrated into the body seams of the pillar to be as strong as possible to support the stress load of a crash. If you do not make the mount correct and place it correctly in the truck, during a crash you can break the mount and have a busted steel bracket flying around the cab or create injuries from the belt not being positioned correctly. IMO Not a good idea. I know a 3-point belt is better than a lap belt but not if it is going to break loose and wack you in the back of the head....... OUCH!

Thanks for the replies; I understand the safety factor & want it to specs, Just hoping someone has a set of those 3 point harness that in the post from Dennis. I realize the B pillar is the determining factor; can't see cutting and welding those brackets. Aviation 3 point is probably the best solution.
Again thanks.
