In reality, I'm working some venison right now. My son is back in the sandbox for the 5th time and his crew likes the jerky. Dad's care packages are almost always jerky and the crew loves it.
I saw some Big Elk, Barely edible, pieces strewn all over the highway..... uh, that was last weekend...... So it should be just about ripe enough to send now, did you want that parcel post, or UPS express? Or what ever it is you have down there.
I alomost added to the list this morning on my way to work, 1 whitetail doe, in the middle of the road. When the headlights (low beam) picked her up. It looked like she was going to run back the way she came.... which would have been right into me..... Whew, that was too close......
It hitting an elk or a moose is anything like hitting a bull, I have been there. I hit a big old bull south of Marlington one night, travelling about 70 on 219 (I Know, I was speeding). I never saw it. I would guess it weighed 2,000 pounds or more. Bigget bull I had ever seen. Totaled an LTD II that I was driving. It pushed the front on the dash. That old bull, got up, developed an attitude and attacked the car with me in it. I ended up shooting the bull to keep it from hurting me. I had to empty a 9mm clip in it to kill it. Guess the first couple just made it madder, like getting stung. I hurt for two weeks after hitting that thing.
Dang Paul!!! That's why they invented trucks! Those LTD IIs were'nt really big to begin with!
LOL!
Joe
Joe, you are quite right, but I loved that old car. Actually, all it was was an overpriced Gran Torino, but it did run and run well. It was a limited edition. 460 under the hood with a C6. It would cruise at 130 and not think anything about it.
