Idling... Park or Neutral???

If you have to idle for extended periods, is it better to be in park or neutral (or does it matter) with the new 6-speed?

Thanks in advance!

Both are neutral they share the same valve body passage. When you place it in park it engages the parking pawl.Either works fine.

And in either case, both work best with the parking brake applied. You never know if the new 6-spds will behave like older Ford automatics and decide to shift by themselves from Park to Reverse.
