ABS light
I had to have a locksmith change the ignition switch on my steering column, that all works fine now,but the ABS light stays on all the time. Is there something in the column that could have come unplugged to make the light stay on all the time? Any help would be great 99 F-350

Did the light come on directly after he changed the ignition?The reason I ask is that they may not be related.If there was some time span maybe its just your speed sensor(abs sensor) on the rear pumpkin.$12 at nappa

Did he change the ignition switch which is located at the bottom of the steering column, or did he change the ignition lock cylinder which is the assembly that the key goes into ??? Changing either one should not affect the ABS system. There is no ABS wiring in the steering column. Did he pull the steering wheel ??? You don't have to pull the wheel to change either the switch or the cylinder. Are you sure that you don't mean "the airbag light", because if he pulled the wheel, he could have screwed up the clockspring which could make the airbag light illuminate.
