Talking Got My New Bull Bar

It took a week, but the Hunter Bull Bar finally came in. IMO, it looks pretty good. Now I just need to get me some KC Daylighters or Hella.

the bar came with a license relocation bracket, 2 light tabs, and all the mounting hardware. I was actually surprised to see all the mounting hardware was 1/4" plate steel. During the install, I re-used the tow hook hardware though. I figured if it's good enough to yank a 6,000 lb truck, it's good enough for my bull bar.

only 1 major drawback, and 1 teeny little one. I lost my tow hooks, and I had to remove 2 little sections of the lower valance thing. I might see about fabricating up a bracket to get the tow hooks back though. and maybe some diamond plate for a skid plate the will tie into the FX4 diff skid plate

Looks Great! If you don't mind me asking how much did that run you? I've been looking for one myself. Are you going to stick any lights on it or leave it as is? Either way looks great!

Funny, I got a Westin bull bar and I took the skid plate off. And yeah, I lost my tow hooks too.

I love them things and want one but do not want to lose my tow hooks. The first person that sells one like that but I can keep my tow hooks will be getting a check from me.

If you are thinking the Westen Bull bars are for anything other than cosmetics, then you'll be disappointed. I bought them after seeing them on this forum. They look nice but are anything but pratical. Are the Hunters at least heavy gauge tubing?

there is a link to the eBay auction at the top of my original post. It's labeled Hunter Bull bar. I paid $169 for it shipped.

yeah, the blue Chevy is my neighbors. I've only owned 1 Chevy in my life. And I'd own it again if I could find it. a 1971 Chevy C-10 (back when a Chevy was a real truck). the Mustang in my sig pic is my "beater".

the tubing for the bull bar is 1/16" tubing. It won't withstand any sort of significant impact, but it will support my 250lbs just fine without bending. I was jumping up/down on the front end and it didn't flex at all.

why not both? It took me literally 10 minutes to install. plow for the winter, and once it warms up, slap a bull bar on there. the hardest part of the install was unpacking it

I've always like them, but just can't go without the tow hooks. The only problem I have with the tow hooks is they are a solid loop. It's a PITA to get a strap on and off of there.

Tylus, I like your bull bar. I opted for the full grill guard option. I sometimes wish I had gone for the bull bar. I guess the only good thing after looking at the above posts is that I was able to keep my tow hooks. All kidding asice, it looks great.
