TowABoat how have you been a member since Oct. of 04' and have only 9 posts. I cant keep my mouth shut on this website and somehow you seemed to have mastered that skill lol... Anyway welcome!
Long story, but basically, the middle of my three sons bought himself a late '70s Econoline back in '04 and it, of course, had issues. Though not many of the Michigan rust type, it's from Tenn. Anyway, I joined, trying to help him out, but I don't think I ever posted back then...found what I needed to know at the time through forum searches. The E-van is now in my garage with a bad rod knock and a near-new C4 tranny financed by the bank of dad.
Then, I got me this F150 recently to, ahem, tow a boat, and do some other pickup-like chores, and remembered this site. Lo and behold, my login still worked! The F150 is replacing a Jeep Comanche 4.0, which is a really nice little truck but not what I need just now. I really like inline sixes...

One of the newbies to Michigan chapter. Hey, you don't need to wait 25 posts to have a signature! You can type it yourself. And after you've done it once, copy and paste is easy.

Royal Oak's a good town.
Waterford Hills is a nice track; I've been going there since I was a kid (more than 40 years), when I had to come out from Livonia. Technically, it's not in Waterford--it's just outside our northwest border, in Independence Twsp.. I think the mailing address is Clarkston. It's part of the Oakland County Sportsman's Club, which has hunting, fishing, archery and gun sport activities.

Welcome Green Machine John. What parts do you hail from? Is that Green Machine as in John Deere? You'll find others here that modify or fix their trucks. I want to get some more ponies out of mine.
Hey kaboom10 i'm from Brooklyn/Jackson Area I attended the meet and greet at cabelas. The Green trucks mine. its a 1968 f-100 with a 360 V-8. At the meet and greet it got called the green machine, so i thought the username was fitting, and my names John.... Thanks for the welcome...

You're welcome. I used to go by you on the way to Hillsdale when I was running the state rescuing animals. Fill up the truck or tow a trailer loaded with needy pets. So you are a stones throw from MIS? We used to go and sit in the pits to watch the races. McCord gasket was a sponsor and I worked for them. That's when I got to work on the prototype 4.6 mod motor. Got my handle from an old business we had.

Sounds like fun. Cruisin' is just a mile away from me. The Woodward Dream Cruise happens every August. There's supporting ones all around the metro area. We have our favorite spot we sit and watch. It turns into a mini car show. Nothin' like the sound of a 572 Hemi w/fuel injection.
ooo MIS, hopefully it wont be rained out this year, last year....was interesting.
I think the August date coincides with our dream cruise so that's out. Milan dragstrip has a date on the June race I believe. I wanna get my truck dynoed and make some time passes.
