Long story, but basically, the middle of my three sons bought himself a late '70s Econoline back in '04 and it, of course, had issues. Though not many of the Michigan rust type, it's from Tenn. Anyway, I joined, trying to help him out, but I don't think I ever posted back then...found what I needed to know at the time through forum searches. The E-van is now in my garage with a bad rod knock and a near-new C4 tranny financed by the bank of dad.

Then, I got me this F150 recently to, ahem, tow a boat, and do some other pickup-like chores, and remembered this site. Lo and behold, my login still worked! The F150 is replacing a Jeep Comanche 4.0, which is a really nice little truck but not what I need just now. I really like inline sixes...

Royal Oak's a good town.
Waterford Hills is a nice track; I've been going there since I was a kid (more than 40 years), when I had to come out from Livonia. Technically, it's not in Waterford--it's just outside our northwest border, in Independence Twsp.. I think the mailing address is Clarkston. It's part of the Oakland County Sportsman's Club, which has hunting, fishing, archery and gun sport activities.

Welcome Green Machine John. What parts do you hail from? Is that Green Machine as in John Deere? You'll find others here that modify or fix their trucks. I want to get some more ponies out of mine.

You're welcome. I used to go by you on the way to Hillsdale when I was running the state rescuing animals. Fill up the truck or tow a trailer loaded with needy pets. So you are a stones throw from MIS? We used to go and sit in the pits to watch the races. McCord gasket was a sponsor and I worked for them. That's when I got to work on the prototype 4.6 mod motor. Got my handle from an old business we had.

Yeah MIS is just around the corner. You should attend the BigBoy cruise every week starting in May. We meet every wed. Next wednesday is our carless cruise at bigboy in Brooklyn.

Sounds like fun. Cruisin' is just a mile away from me. The Woodward Dream Cruise happens every August. There's supporting ones all around the metro area. We have our favorite spot we sit and watch. It turns into a mini car show. Nothin' like the sound of a 572 Hemi w/fuel injection.

I think the August date coincides with our dream cruise so that's out. Milan dragstrip has a date on the June race I believe. I wanna get my truck dynoed and make some time passes.
