the ESOF did work after I took the bottom diagram off the solenoid and the top filter, cleaned them put a couple drops of air-tool oil on them. Still does not let more than 4"hg for a couple seconds but it is enough.

I call the local Ford dealer and they gave me the part number of 9H465. Is this one on ebay the compatible, it looks a little different? eBay

I found a 9H465 solenoid, it lists an F150 but is it the same one as for my truck?

If anybody can get it, and for a good price, it's going to be Ed Olson (he's a sponsor) at:

www.y2kfordparts.com or www.partsguyed.com

He is the parts manager at Millenium Ford in Seattle, Wa.

He will know the right part number and get you the best deal around .

ESOF Vacuum Lines

My vacuum lines going to the auto locking hubs have deteriorated. Does anybody know of if there are better vacuum lines that the stock ones? I would like to find steel braided if possible.

Silicone should hold up better... but for the money, the stock tubing is not expensive for 10-13 years. The tubing gets exposed to worse stuff than our windshield wipers, and nothing has made those last a long time.

I agree with Tugly but if you don't want to spend your money on the OEM parts, people have made their own lines or you can get these braided ones you asked about...
