Is there info anywhere, like a FAQ about every model of tranfer case and what shifting configuration (manual stick, electric motor actuator, ESOF/vacuum hubs) was available for whatever transmission they were hooked up to in all the years of the Super Duty? I've been seaching and I'm confused.
What I really need clarification on is if a truck with manual hubs and the electric motor actuator has the same tranfer case as a truck with manual hubs and a manual lever style shifter.
I've been looking to buy a Super Duty for over a month and one of my prerequisites is to have a manual lever syle T-case shifter. They're not the easiest thing to find, especially in a super cab shortbed diesel. I just want to make sure I get the right case that can be modified to a lever if that's possible. Thanks in advance for any info.
To my understanding Ford only makes a manual transfer case with manual hubs, and a elcectronic transfer case with auto hubs. Although many people have changed the auto hubs to manuals due to all the problems with the autos (i.e. vaccum leaks).
